Finally home

The kids and I went up to Calgary for a week. Which turned into 3 weeks. We're very happy to be home. The kids were great for how long we were gone, it would have been a lot better if Daddy was with us.

It felt like almost everything that could go wrong did. I'll go into to more detail when I recover. I'm too tired to really think right now.

My Mum, Lisa (sister) and her son are on the way to Utah. They're going to stop for the night in Montana. Goodbye we'll miss you. The kids were crying in their beds because they didn't want Grandma to go. James kept saying that he wishes he could move to Utah. He also asked if there was water in the pipes or if they get snow.

Numbers & Letters

I've been trying to work with James and Emily on their numbers and alphabet. I need to work with them more. James has learned his name and is expanding onto other letters.

He had his Kindergarton open house. He received many gifts like scissors, pencil, crayons, paper, books and so on. A couple of days later Ben found crayon on the walls in the kids rooms. We both knew who did it instantly. The artist tried to convince us that his/her sibling did it.

Reasons why we knew who the artist was instantly.

The artwork was in both rooms.

  • At a certain height.
  • Body language.
  • Most of the artwork was in Emily's room.
  • Emily doesn't know how to write her letters yet. She recognizes some letters.

and the number one reason is...

  • There were a lot of J's and A's written on Emily's walls.

Thankful Today.

Ok, it's not Thursday any more but I've decided to do a Thankful post.

Wonderful Women - I'm thankful for all the wonderful women that are in my life. My absolute favorite wonder woman is my mum. Another is ladies in my family.  Each have gone through their own struggles and have become stronger. I've been blessed to meet and know some very special women who have helped me become a stronger person, wife, mother, sister and friend. I've even had examples of what I don't want to be and what not to do. To those I give thanks, because they have blessed me in knowledge. Some of those lessons have been very painful. I know what is and what should be important to me.

Benjamin - My loving husband shows me how much he loves me every day in  many different ways. Right now he's preparing to return to school. He's scared to do this, but he knows it is right for our family. He's been giving me the courage to start my own home base business. I love you! I'm extremely lucky to have you in my life.

My Children - I love each one of them. I get frustrated with each, but I will do ANYTHING to protect my family. I don't want to know where I would be if I didn't have them or Benjamin.

That's all folks! More when I feel like it.

So true

In Sunday School, I heard the following comment and I had to write it down to share.

It's hard being lazy, you never know when you're done!

I've been suffering from depression. I don't suffer nearly as much as others. I've been really lazy. I've had a lot of stress in my life. I've been letting my housework be housework. I didn't do it. I invited some new friends over for games for FHE. I knew that I had less than a day to get the house clean. Most of the house was cleaned (still is). We had a great time. We were having so much fun that they didn't leave til Midnight. I believe Ole had to be up early for work to. Thanks for coming over for a fun night. It really helped to kick my butt into gear!

July 2013

I thought of it, so I WILL make it happen one way or another. I'm excited to tell everyone that I'm planning a family reunion for Ben's siblings & parents. I have some ideas but would LOVE MORE ideas. So please email me all of your WONDERFUL ideas. I know they're wonderful because you thought of them.

I'm planning this reunion for sometime in July 2013 in Idaho. Ben's starting school this fall, and will be done in 4 years. We should have some money by then. I'm trying to give everyone enough time so they too can save money for this.

So please send me your wonderful activities and/or camping recipes.

*For those who will be attending this reunion, I will be emailing surveys & delegating jobs.

26 Random things about me

So the deal is I have to tell you 26 things about me or Corinne will come up here and beat me up.

1. I love to show off my cooking/baking skills by making stuff for others.

2. I never allowed myself to show my emotions until Ben convinced me it was ok to.

3. When I'm playing a game I like to have my pieces disorganized just to annoy my Mil.

4. I loved having my Mum teach at my high school.

5. My best friend and I fought everyday in 4th grade, but made up everyday too.

6. I hate driving in snow. Yes I do know where I live.

7. I'm always on the look out for new recipes. Especially desserts. So pass them on to me :)

8. I'm going to start my own home base business in the next month.

9. I'm scared about #8.

10. I knew all of my kids' names when I was pregnant the 1st time.

11. Learned a lot about myself & Ben when we had our miscarriage (1st pregnancy). It was very hard, but we're grateful for the blessings we have now (James, Emily, Matthew)

12. I hated my Sil when she married my brother (over a VERY stupid thing) and now she's my favorite Sil on my side. I'm not saying that because she's been in the family the longest. I love you Jenny!

13. My niece told her parents that I taught her something when actually I was in a different state.

14. Ben and I ask our kids "who gave you permission to grow up?" and they reply "Heavenly Father & Jesus". It just cracks us up. They use to say each other or one of us.

15. Ben and I knew each other for about 2 months, engaged 18 days and eloped to the Portland Temple.

16. I REALLY don't want my mum so far away, but I know it's for the best. She sold her house two days ago, and is moving back to Utah.

17. I like giving foot rubs. But if I'm going to do it I like giving the whole treatment (soak, scrub, etc.). If you don't believe just ask Jenny (my sil).

18. I crack/pop my joints. Not always on purpose.

19. I want to go on a Mission with my awesome husband. Hopefully he wont be TOO old by the time we can go.

20. The little Emily who I use to babysit got married a couple of months ago and it's not real to me yet. I still picture her as a annoying little kid who I cherish.

21. I have not met the ladies who married Ben's brothers.

22. I'm planning a family reunion for Ben's immediate family. It will take place in July 2013.

23. I love pranking others. Especially Ben!

24. I spend too much time on facebook.

25. Farmtown has brought families closer. I'm serious! We'll call Corinne up and talk with her when we want something harvest. Or she'll call us when she wants more $ because she spent all of hers.

26. I love to travel. I come up with any excuse to travel.

+ I'm not a morning person.

+ I did try smoking when I was younger but my middle brother scared the crap out of me. Haven't touch the stuff sense.

Now Corinne, we both know that I didn't do 26 so don't beat me to my death. Maybe next time I'll be able to follow your odors better. On Second thought you keep your stinky stench down there. Love ya!

I tag anyone you has taken precious time out of their lifes to read how much non-sense I could tell in a blog. I know that you really have "important" things to do, but you're just putting them off for some odd reason. So do something with your "free time" and do this!
