Matthew Richard Dowdle

Yesterday we got to see the first pictures of Matthew Richard Dowdle. I thought it was going to be a girl. I'm not disappointed at all, just excited. So this is the first pregnancy which I have been wrong about the gender of the baby. I believed it was a girl because I got sinus infections, which I only had with Emily. I was sicker with this one to.



During the ultrasound Matthew kept moving around and was making it challenging for the tech to take the required pictures. She even had to get another tech to come in and help take the required pictures. It took so long that I had to use the bathroom twice before it was over and another after it was done.
It was awesome to watch the screen and see his little mouth move open and shut. He kept moving his arms and legs. It was wonderful to see him and hear his heart beat.



When we got home from the ultrasound we showed James and Emily the ultrasound pictures. They were very excited about seeing the pictures. To be honest it did take awhile to tear James away from the cartoons. Grandma let them play outside where Emily got soaked from the hose. Most likely James decided to "Help" Emily. Then watch cartoons while waiting for us to get back.



When James was born he was given a very cute blanket from Gymboree. So when we found out that Emily, was a girl we took him to Gymboree and chose a special blanket for her. When James saw Emily for the first time at the hospital he gave it to her. So we're planning on going back to Gymboree and picking out a blanket for Matthew. Then letting the kids give it to him at the hospital.
