While in Calgary Emily and I got haircuts, it was Emily's 1st haircut. I've trimmed her bangs, her baby hair is now gone. I did get some of the hair to save. Of course I took a lot of pictures. I would have liked to take more pictures but my batteries were dying. So I tried to take some really good whens then turn off the camera until the next picture.
My stylist told the other stylist that there was another haircut. I told them that I wanted Emily to get her hair cut by the same one that does my hair. She looked like she didn't want to do it, like she tried to get out of cutting a child's hair. In other words she looked nervous. She told me "if the child fights it then they wont cut their hair. It's their policy." I fully understood that, but I was confident in Emily being a "big girl".
Emily and James kept walking back & forth between Grandma and me while I was getting my haircut. We talked with her while I was getting my hair done. When it was her turn, she surprised the stylist by sitting there and obeying her. The stylist kept telling saying "Mom should be proud of her" and "You're doing a great job".
After our haircuts I asked Emily, if we should start a new tradition of her and Mommy getting haircuts at the same time. She did a great job and enjoyed it.
James was upset that he didn't get a haircut with Emily and Mommy. Daddy and him will be buzzed this coming weekend.
Emily was nervous about the blow dryer.
Doesn't she look older & very pretty? I look forward to "our" time.
