You can be rude to me, but not to my kids!

Almost a year ago I made the decision to choose my son over a friend. I was told that I was acting like I was in high school and so on.... I don't want to bore everyone with all the non sense about it. The important thing is that I chose my son. He's the important one. I want him in my life and not that other person.

I use to live in the same ward as my mum and the gal. I was expecting to see her at church and curious about what would happen. So I wasn't shocked to see what happened. My kids were with Grandma Sabin while I took the infant seat and diaper bag to the coat rack. James and Emily kept trying to get the gal's attention. She went out of her way to avoid my kids. My mum had to tell her that the kids were trying to talk with her, but she already knew it. She knew what my kids thought of her, so why be rude to them? (My mum told me what happened on our way home.)

On my way to take the stuff to the coat rack area I came across her daughter. She was scared and all by herself. So I went out of my way and took her daughter to her husband. He told me that she had just left to find their daughter, I told him that I would tell her. So I found her and told her.

I don't remember if she said thank you or not. I don't care about the thanks. My kids do matter, I don't care what happened between us, just don't be rude to my kids.

One thing that I didn't like was... when I went to tell her, I missed the only chance to talk to real friends.

What would you do if this happened to you?
