My kids love me!

For New Year's Eve we went over to a friends for the evening. There were a lot of goodies to eat. I told my kids that they had to eat some veggies before they could eat any chips, meat, sweets or pop. It was wonderful not to have to repeat myself to the kids through out the night. They both had a good amount of veggies before they even asked about other things to eat. All of the other kids kept snitching and nagging their mums for goodies. It made me feel really good to tell them that they could have some goodies. I told them they could have a few, and they didn't bother me for more.



Today was another day that proved to me that my kids really love and care about me. Since I've started having contractions I've been very tired. I slept on the couch to have something against my back, hoping I would sleep better.
Last night wasn't a good night because Emily got up when I was starting to go to sleep. I thought because how tired she was she would fall asleep easily if I put a movie on for her. She stayed awake til after 3:30am. She kept crying because of her itchy legs. I felt bad but I could hardly move so I told her that she could have a bath today. She eventually went to sleep. I woke up at every sound, each time Emily sucked on her thumb, the furnace coming on, the neighbors and so on.
Today the James and Emily played with Legos on the floor, watched movies and let me take three naps. Yes, I did say three naps. They even spent some time in their own rooms so I could get a shower in. Emily did have a nap while I took my last nap of the day.



James and I had a talk about how "mommy needs more help or naps right now because of the baby". He's been very understanding about me being very tired. I mentioned to him that I need him to go to bed on time so I could get rest. Because he had a major melt down last night when he needed to go to bed. So tonight he went to bed without any problems. It has been wonderful with how exhausted I'm feeling.



I know that none of these pictures are of New Year's Eve or of today, but they're some of my favorite pictures. My cousin did a great job taking our family pictures.
